The PTCC Academic Skills Center provides free tutoring on a walk-in basis with peer tutors. The Academic Skills Center is committed to providing students with a comfortable learning environment, which fosters good study habits. Our goal is to help students study more effectively and independently through tutoring, student success workshops and support services.

As part of Minnesota State policy, PTCC assesses new incoming students’ academic readiness for credit bearing college curriculum to assure students have the academic content knowledge to have a high likelihood of success in our courses. Students who are admitted to PTCC must demonstrate their academic readiness to enroll in courses that require college-level reading, writing, and/or math skills. Students can demonstrate their academic readiness based on their performance on a variety of assessments.
Pine Children's Early Learning Center, a child care center located on the PTCC campus, is available to the public and especially convenient for PTCC students and staff.
The Pine Technical & Community College Veterans Center exists to provide support and assistance to veteran students and those currently serving throughout their academic careers.
PTCC offers academic test proctoring and professional credentialing for students and our community.
The Student-Parent Support program supports parents while attending college - helping them be successful students while balancing their coursework and life at home. We assist with linking students to resources on campus and within the community to meet individual and family needs.
