Programs, Courses & Departments:
Chris Morgan teaches in the cyber-security and networking programs at Pine Technical and Community College (PTCC). Prior to joining PTCC, Chris was a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force for 26 years. He managed 120 personnel and a $10 million infrastructure. Chris helped design, deploy and install infrastructure servers, workstations, satellite communications and phone systems for multiple classified locations. For two years he instructed the basics of network management and security to newly assigned network administrators for the military. He also taught policy for one year.
In 1999 he was awarded the JNCO Communications Computer Systems Operator of the year for the Ellsworth Air Force Base and in 2000 he was awarded the JNCO Communications Computer Systems Operator for the year for the Air Force.
Chris has Associate of Science and Bachelors of Science degrees in Information Technology; as well as Associate of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and in Human Resource Management. He is studying for the CISSP Exam and already has the following certifications: CompTIA A+, Network +, Security+, prior CCNA, and MCP. Chris offers students the following advice: Never pass by an opportunity to learn something new or step out of your “safe zone,” you never know what doors will open in your life.
