Early Childhood Development - Program Requirements and Courses

For all program options: Developmental courses may be required depending on educational background and/or assessment scores. Developmental courses do not fulfill graduation requirements and are required as prerequisites for all General Education and CDEV courses. A student must attain a grade of ‘C’ or better in ALL courses and a final cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher to graduate. The requirements of this program plan are subject to change without notice.

Course Delivery Options

Early Childhood Development program options are offered in face-to-face classroom settings and many courses are also available online.

Two ECD total online courses have undergone a Quality Matters review process for the presence of quality indicators in total online course design and have earned course certification. Courses earning this certification will display the following certification mark on the online course site and course syllabus.

CDEV 1240 Working with Diverse Families and Children
