The Pine Technical and Community College Student Handbook provides important information on institution policies, people, campus activities and organizations.
As part of MnSCU policy, PTCC requires incoming students to take the Accuplacer Assessment in order to ensure you have the academic content knowledge to have a high likelihood of success in our courses. The scores indicate basic academic skills in which you are strong, and areas in which you may need help. The Accuplacer Placement Test helps you to determine the English, reading and mathematics courses most appropriate for you as required by MnSCU policy.
If you are unable to complete the requirements for warning/probation for GPA and credit completion, you will be suspended at the end of the term. You will be notified by letter from Student Affairs. Suspensions are for one semester (plus summer) to one year, depending on whether this is your first or second suspension. Prior to completing the Suspension Appeal Form, meet with the Counselor to discuss grounds for your Appeal and types of documentation that may be acceptable.

Pine Technical & Community College considers courses for transfer from colleges and universities that have been accredited by their regional associations. Transfer credit also may be considered for courses taken at institutions that lack regional accreditation but have been accredited by specialized agencies or at institutions outside the United States that have been chartered or authorized by their national governments.
