This course covers the theory and operating principles of automotive computers, sensors, and control devices on OBD II equipped vehicles. Additionally, this course will allow the student to further develop skill in diagnosing, testing and correcting problems on OBD II equipped vehicles. The student will use the OEM and generic scan tools and will document use of all operations available for each. The course covers diagnosis and repair of fuel systems, including use of meters, and scan tools. This course covers theory, operation and diagnosis of carburated and fuel injection systems including CFI, PFI, and SFI. (Prerequisites: ATMP 1207 Basic Electricity.) Offered Spring.
